Delivery Information

The customer is responsible for checking the product and ensuring that there is no damage. In the event that there is, please contact us within 24hrs.

The delivery paperwork must be signed to verify that everything on the document has been delivered and that the shipment has been received in good condition. It is therefore essential that an authorised person is available on site to check off the delivery and sign for it. The customer is responsible for the security and weather proofing of the goods immediately following delivery.

Please check:-

  • Everything is delivered as per the delivery docket supplied (checked off each item as delivered).
  • Product is in good condition. If cabinets are assembled, check that all surfaces that will be visible after installation are free of dents and scratches.

Please ensure there is a person present at the delivery site who is authorised by you to accept delivery. If there is not, you authorise us to deliver the goods. If our delivery contractor arrives but is unable to deliver the goods you may be required to pay for a re-delivery fee.

The Customer will have an able-bodied person available to assist with the unloading of the goods. If the customer is unable to provide this able-bodied person, Peter Hay Kitchens may provide an able-bodied person at an additional cost if notified at time of order.

Peter Hay Kitchens will not be liable for any loss or claim in the event that Peter Hay Kitchens is unable to supply the goods required, or delay in supplying the goods.

The delivery vehicle in most cases will be a large furniture truck.
