Order & Delivery of a ‘DIY’ project

THE FIRST STEP

Place the order. You will receive an email confirmation, confirming we have received your order. We receive payment usually the following day. You will receive another email confirmation, confirming we have received your payment. Your order is now moving into the “Processing” step within our manufacturing schedule.

Processing. Our Manufacturing Schedule has a targeted date of 15 working days. This is for the completion of your order. This starts from the time the payment clears into our account, not the order date. When your order is complete, you will receive another email confirmation confirming this. This now takes us to the dispatch day.

DELIVERY

If your order is for collection from our factory. You can ring to make a time to collect, we are open Saturday mornings. Or make your way to our factory for your collection. Our address is 47 Dalgety Drive Wiri, Auckland, New Zealand. You can contact us on 0800 744548.

If your order is being delivered by our Logistics Network, the process is as follows.

Following the dispatch, the carrier will call the person of contact. Time for delivery is arranged. There is a minimum order amount of $4000.00 +GST to qualify for (Free) shipping. If your order is under this amount, the product will need collection. Or you can send us an email at onlineshop@peterhaykitchens.co.nz for a shipping quote. Please include your name and the order number within the email for our reference.

We will deposit your goods at ground level on the delivery site. You must ensure we have clear and safe access for delivery. Ensure there is a person present at the delivery, authorised to accept delivery. If there is not, you authorise us to deliver the goods. If our delivery contractor arrives but is unable to deliver the goods. You may be required to pay for a re-delivery fee.

The Customer will have an able-bodied person to assist with the unloading of the goods. If the customer is unable to provide this able-bodied person, Peter Hay Kitchens may provide an able-bodied person. This will be at an extra cost. You must notify us at the time of order.

Peter Hay Kitchens will not be liable for any, loss or claim, If Peter Hay Kitchens is unable to supply the goods required or delay in supplying the goods. The delivery vehicle in most cases will be a large furniture truck.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

The customer handles the checking of the product and ensuring that there is no damage. If there is, please contact us within 24-48 Hours.

The delivery paperwork must be signed. This is to verify that everything on the document has been delivered. This also shows that the shipment has been received in good condition. It is essential that an authorised person is available on site to check off the delivery and sign for it. The customer handles the security and weatherproofing of the goods, immediately following the delivery.

Please check everything

  • is as per the delivery docket supplied (check off each item as delivered).
  • The product is in good condition.
  • Assembled cabinets. Please check all visible surfaces after installation, are free of chips and scratches.

RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

We will try and assist you if you wish to cancel your order or return the goods unused. We may require you to pay for the loss we will incur as a result.

Goods which are damaged before delivery to the Customer may be returned for full replacement by quoting the order number, if: –

  • The goods are inspected on delivery and signed for as damaged.
  • Peter Hay Kitchens Ltd has been notified with 24-48 hours of receipt on site.

CONSUMER GUARANTEES ACT 1993

Where goods are being supplied for the purpose of a business, the Customer agrees that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 will not apply. For all kitchen and laundry cabinet purchases online, a 5-year warranty will apply, for everything else purchased online, a 2-year warranty applies.

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of the Terms and Conditions is unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.

TERMS OF SALE

These terms and conditions apply if the customer’s order qualifies for direct delivery.

Goods which are damaged before delivery to the Customer may be returned for full replacement by quoting the order number.

  • Able-bodied person. Means someone physically capable to assist in the unloading of the goods.
  • Customer means the person or persons purchasing the order. This includes the customers employees, contractors, sub-contractors or agents.
  • Delivery person means the person or persons that will deliver the goods.
  • Goods means the purchased items from Peter Hay Kitchens Ltd.
  • Installer means the person or persons that will install the purchased goods.
  • Order means the full item list.
  • Site means the location to which the goods are to be delivered.
