Corian® is a unique solid surface material with a rich, natural translucence that is inviting to touch.
Corian® offers design versatility, function and durability far beyond the scope of conventional materials. Since its introduction in 1967, it has proven itself to be a remarkably durable, versatile material that’s easy to live with in both residential and commercial environments.
Corian® solid surface is easy to clean and is for food contact. Because Corian® is nonporous; stains do not penetrate the surface. With proper cleaning, Corian® also resists the growth of mould, mildew and bacteria. Corian® is used in laboratories worldwide, so is more than adequate for your home; it’s also the choice of a global fast food giant. Corian surfaces carry a 10 year limited warranty for residential applications.
Is Acrylic Heat Resistant?
We do not recommend placing a hot pot directly on Corian® surfaces. Although Corian® solid surface remains stable and undamaged in temperatures up to 212ºF (100ºC), high heat or flame will damage your surface. In most cases, this damage can be repaired. To protect your Corian® surfaces from heat damage, always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet when using hot pots, or heat-generating appliances, like electric skillets or electric cooking pots.
